Serving Our Community
Since 1906
Hemet Woman's Club

Welcome

Community service since 1906 . . .

Imagine the joy of reaching the ripe-old-age of 110 years! The Hemet Woman’s Club has done just that with vitality and the spirit of volunteering. Our 20/20 vision keeps one eye on the future filled with promise and the other reflecting on our rich past filled with grand achievement; with a strength that comes from reaching out to help others; with a joy that comes from lasting friendships and the rewards of working together that keeps us young-at-heart. We are a group of women, of all ages and walks of life, who come together and help make our community better.

Notable Accomplishments

On March 6, 1906, the Hemet Woman’s Club was formed into the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs. The City of Hemet awarded the club a Recognition Proclamation in 2015. The honor calls for the City to make March 6th, 2015 as Founder’s Day, in celebration of the 109th anniversary of the club.

A Message From Our President

Welcome to Hemet Woman’s Club. This is our opportunity to share our organization’s vision with you and I invite you to look around this website.  Ours is a proud history and in 2016 we celebrated 110 years of providing community service to the Hemet-San Jacinto Valley.  Take a moment to explore our ‘Groups We Support” and there you will find the wide variety of organizations we support throughout the year by fundraising and volunteering.  Annually, we give three academic scholarships to local graduating seniors and award public school 10th graders the opportunity to participate in the Hugh O’Brian Youth (H.O.B.Y.) leadership summer seminar.  In addition to our many projects, we are proud to include a 2 year Community Improvement Project that will focus on the Hemet Public Library and the expansion of the Children’s Library outside activities area.  Our focus on community service keeps members very busy with opportunities to be involved in their personal interests.  I look forward to growing our members this club year and invite you to attend a monthly meeting.  Take a moment to click on our ‘Membership’ tab for more information and to view a brief video.  It’s easy to connect with us via email (see our ‘Contact’ tab) or message us on our Facebook page.  I believe that we will all learn and experience something new this year - - be part of that experience and join us!

Hope to see you soon.

JoAnn Kuehl
